Fantastic quote. I never really got on with the Neapolitan Quartet: I read the first one and quite enjoyed it, but didn't feel moved to keep going. You can tell she is a real talent, though.
ReplyDeleteI love the TV series, not got to the books (the wife swears by them and says they are differently great c.f. the TV version).
ReplyDeleteAlso really liked the other recent Ferrante TV series, The Lying Life of Adults. It has a really odd atmosphere and interesting use of music. Similar thing of mysteriously motivated, not wholly likeable but still you root for them characters.
