  2. Diamond Dave became a paramedic. Did he discover his disavowed responsibility, and is that the most incongruous career change in music?

    1. I didn't know that! That is a bizarre fact about him... although by the sounds of it he was a bit of a dilettante at that, too: he didn't exactly make it his life from then on.

      Still, it's a good lesson in never writing people off.

      The most incongruous career change in music? The guitar player from alt-rock journeymen Blind Melon who became a lawyer at a big Philadelphia firm must be high up there. But surely the winner is that bloke from Blur who became a cheesemaker.
