Dave Lee Roth, 1979
successor to Thinkige Kru whose feed doesn't seem to be working properly for reasons unknown - the old blog + archive remains here https://thinkigekru.blogspot.com/ -^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^vintage thoughts from others, vintage thoughts from me - varying degrees of profundity - thoughts quoted for the turn of thought / phrase rather than for truth value - quoted not necessarily because i agree with them or approve of them - i don't necessarily agree with my own past thinkiges!

I would suggest it's actually a lot of the reason he's in rock'n'roll, if we're being perfectly honest.
ReplyDeleteDiamond Dave became a paramedic. Did he discover his disavowed responsibility, and is that the most incongruous career change in music?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that! That is a bizarre fact about him... although by the sounds of it he was a bit of a dilettante at that, too: he didn't exactly make it his life from then on.
DeleteStill, it's a good lesson in never writing people off.
The most incongruous career change in music? The guitar player from alt-rock journeymen Blind Melon who became a lawyer at a big Philadelphia firm must be high up there. But surely the winner is that bloke from Blur who became a cheesemaker.
There´s also a porn superstar (Real famous but cant remember the name) who became a paramedic, for the Most Incongrous People Becominging Paramedics list
